海鮮処寿し常 アトレ上野店
Situated on the 2F of atré Ueno, Sushi Tsune serves bluefin tuna assortments, versatile à la carte nigiri, and savory drinking dishes from counter seats facing the chefs and spacious booths.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Located inside the Retro-kan area on the 2F of atré Ueno, directly connected to Ueno Station, Kaisendokoro Sushi Tsune provides a calm Japanese dining setting that is easy to reach between transit connections or after a walk around the neighborhood. Inside, where a live fish tank is installed, seating includes both counter spots with an up-close view of the chefs' deft handiwork and comfortable booths suited for a relaxed meal. The layout accommodates solo diners dropping in for seasonal bites without hesitation just as easily as groups or families gathering around a table.
Leading the menu are signature tuna selections such as the 5-piece Hon-Maguro Nigiri set and the Gokujo Maguro Zukushi, featuring cuts like otoro, chutoro, lean akami, and seared toromagnate slices. Combinations like the Kaisensen Jo Nigiri and the staple Tsune Nigiri arrive with soup, which can be upgraded to an ara-jiru fish-bone broth for an extra fee to capture every bit of umami from the day's catch. Slender rolls, including torotaku-maki and tekkamaki, are rolled with balanced firmness, ensuring satisfying bites through to the end.
Beyond the pre-set platters, ordering individual nigiri piece by piece starting from 99 yen lets guests tailor their selection to the day's mood—one of the genuine pleasures of a sushi counter. The kitchen also prepares a broad assortment of drinking dishes, such as single-portion sashimi assortments, whole simmered anago, tempura platters, and fried squid tentacles. These pair naturally with crisp, dry sakes like Kisenju and Jokigen, fragrant Dassai, or selected shochu, encouraging an unhurried session over drinks.
Midday options include weekday-only sets like the affordable Lunch Nigiri and Bara Chirashi, alongside a dedicated children's nigiri plate for visiting families. Operating continuously from 11:00 to 23:00, it stands as a dependable stop whenever authentic sushi is called for right inside the station complex.
